1. AVOID THE PEAK HEAT HOURS OF THE DAY
    • It is advised to limit your sun exposure between the hours of 10am to 4pm. Exposure to extreme heat can cause you to faint, which could cause an injury and ultimately result in needing our PT services.
  2. LIMIT YOUR TIME SPENT OUTDOORS
    • If you do not absolutely need to be outside, then don’t be! Enjoy the luxury of your air conditioning indoors!
  3. STAY HYDRATED
    • This doesn’t just mean water. If you are spending time outdoors, you likely need to replenish your electrolytes. A tasty DIY drink can suffice in place of a super sugary, artificial drink from the store. Simply add water, some salt, sugar, and freshly squeezed lemon/lime juice for a delicious and refreshing drink!
  4. CHOOSE BREATHABLE CLOTHING
    • When heading outdoors, wear moisture wicking clothing that repels your sweat and keeps you cool. Don’t forget your hat and polarized sunglasses for extra protection!
  5. WEAR YOUR SPF
    • While this doesn’t necessarily cool you off, we love to give a little extra encouragement for you to wear your sunscreen daily. It is recommended to wear SPF daily on your face even if you are indoors!
